I want this blog to become a forum for young aspiring PR people. The idea is that this will become a place where new PR people can use their lack of experience to free their creativity.
I once saw an interview between Michael Parkinson and Machael Caine in which Caine was talking about “Always seeing the flip side of the coin.” The flip side of inexperience is the ability to think and act in unconventional ways, I want this blog to become a forum for that kind of thinking.
I’ll be posting some thoughts of my own in the the near future but I want this to be as much as possible, a communal resource so if you have ideas / research / best practice or anysuch things, please send them in to me. You can email me at oakley.sam@googlemail.com.
Cheers
Sam

Hi Sam,
Just wanted to drop you a line to say welcome to the blogging world.
I’m particularly interested in what you’re doing as my main occupation is as marketing and PR manager at Medway Council in Kent, as well as various other marketing and PR consultancy projects.
I blog at http://www.simonwakeman.com, but I haven’t written much about public sector, except a post about working whether public sector is good for a marketing and pr career (http://www.simonwakeman.com/2006/01/15/is-public-sector-marketing-is-good-for-your-cv/)
Good luck with it, and keep in touch
