It’s been a strange month so far for social media. Google’s aquisition of YouTube demonstrated just how far down the road towards main streaming it has travelled but then along comes a double whammy of insignificance 2.0 to set us straight.

First inigo wilson gets quietly re-instated, you can almost hear the conversation down at Orange HQ – well, they’re only bloggers does anyone really care? Secondly Sion Simon MP takes childish politics online, just incase anyone was begginning to take social media seriously that it.  I’ve got no objection to satire, honestly I haven’t but I do object to bad satire and to using one of the most exciting revolutions in communications technology to disseminate something that was just … bad. tags: , , , , ,
